A wonderful collaboration of cheesecake and brownies smushed together and coloured red...

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Philadelphia Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 ounces chocolate (dark or semi-sweet)
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 2/3 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon red food colouring
  • 1 1/3 cups flour (all purpose)
  • 1 pinch of salt

Directions

  1. preheat oven to 350f
  2. line 9 x 13 baking dish with parchment paper, or foil if you don't have any paper
  3. melt chocolate and butter together over a double broiler or in the microwave if need be, until smooth
  4. In a bowl whisk together 2 cups of sugar, 4 eggs, 2 tsp. of vanilla and red food colouring
  5. slowly add chocolate mixture, making sure to temper slowly and not curdle the eggs
  6. add flour and salt and mix until all is incorporated
  7. pour mixture in lined pan and set aside
  8. in a stand mixer or bowl with electric beaters, cream together Philly, 2/3 sugar, 2 eggs 1 tsp of vanilla
  9. dollop cheesecake mixture all over the surface of the brownie mixture
  10. with a butter knife, swirl to inlay cheesecake in the top layer of the brownie mixture, not too much, try not to mix the two together
  11. bake at 350f for 35-40 minutes and let cool completely before serving, unless you like warm cheesecake brownies!! :) Enjoy!

I have been looking for a new recipe to try for my holiday baking this year. I found it!!! These sound absolutely delicious!!! I am super excited to try them. I think I may have to do a trial run before the holidays. Not to test them so much as just because I don't know if I want to wait! Thank you so much for sharing your recipe!
