I work in a bakery and sometimes the only way to be cool is to sit in the are conditioning...and drink iced tea...and eat a frozen buttertart! -
One of the ways I stay cool is by drinking home made iced tea and lemonade.
I also eat more finger foods so I don't have to turn on the oven. -
Drinking a lot of iced (flavoured) water is important and eating frozen berries mixed in a bowl of plain yogurt helps, too. If it's a really hot day, I try to stay inside an air conditioned facility (work, mall) or at home. -

It's all about the ice cold cucumber water, ice cream and tank tops with flowing skirts for me! Fans and air conditioning don't hurt either ;) -
Copious amounts of freshly squeeze raspberry lemonade!! (Or cool and crisp cucumber and mint water for days that I choose not to indulge too much!) ;) -
On a hot day we keep cool by going to the YMCA. It is air conditioned and in the morning there are gym activities for the kids and the swimming pool too. -
we are lucky that we live near the ocean in pei, so we often get the ocean breeze which is cooling...and on days like today, we head for the besch and jump in! freezees help too! -
We try not to use the air conditioner unless absolutely necessary. So we open all the window to get a nice cross breeze and enjoy cold drink and treats to stay cool. -
Eat lots of ice cream and popsicles and staying indoors with air conditioning and fans running! We only let the kids play outside after 6pm when it cools down. -

On hot summer days I have two ways of keeping cool. Inside we have two large fans blowing in our room and the AC. We all sit as a family and watch tv and enjoy eachother's company. Outside I must admit I am a fish! I love swimming either at the beach or in the pool at our trailor park. This is our happy place and our home away from home. Either way, cold drinks of choice and family and friends with the pools or fans is the best way to beat the heat! - Oh and popsicles too! -

We had 4 fans running in our bedroom alone up until 3 weeks ago. Our problem...? Very small "apartment sized" bedroom windows and couldn't afford a vertical window a/c. So we bought a cheap a/c with the smallest dimensions possible and built a window frame outside of the real frame. Voila, we have magically delicious cool air. :) My kids are always cramming in here but I do keep the kids cool, hydrated, full and busy through-out the house/Summer with plenty of water, a wide variety of fruits/veggies, popsicles/ice-cream, light eating/fast cooking and as much activity as they can tolerate. Happy Summer everyone :) -

I stay cool by drinking cold beverages and eating fruits. If i'm at home I'll take a cold bath or go out to the beach. -

We sit in shad all day long, with cool drinks. Going to the mall with lots of air conditioning is fantastic.
