Happy Friday, everyone!
The day is finally here to announce the Grand Prize Winner of the Cheesecake of the Year contest! A big thank you to everyone who entered their recipes into the contest. There were so many imaginative interpretations! With almost 300 entries, the judges had quite a difficult job. Without further ado, the Cheesecake of the Year is the...
Pumpkin Spice Latte Cheesecake with Pumpkin Seed Brittle and Cinnamon Nutmeg Cream
Congratulations, Christina!
From the judges: "Christina's cheesecake had just the right amount of sweetness and coffee flavours and the brittle was excellent. The texture of the cheesecake was amazing; when you cut into it, it held together beautifully."
We look forward to getting to know Christina better in the coming weeks. She will be receiving $5,000 and her recipe will appear in the December issue of Canadian Living Magazine, so look out for it! I will definitely add this recipe to my collection. With the holidays coming up, I know I won't be the only one preparing it. And if you haven't browsed the Cheesecake of the Year gallery it's a must!
There are so many talented bakers in our community, you won't want to miss out on any of these recipes.
Deliciously yours,
Anna

Congratulations on winning our first Cheesecake of the Year title, Christina!
I'll certainly try your cheesecake soon as well! Just a few more ingredients to pick up. :) And I have so many more cheesecake recipes from the community to try, too.
Have a great weekend, everyone! -
Congratulations Christina! I must say, I'm like sooo jealous of your amazing brittle, because it looks HEAVENLY on your cheescake! It's making my mouth water as we speak, and that alone would've given my vote for your cheesecake :) . I love the food photography skills you showed in your shot, and I can't wait to try out your cheesecake for myself, after hearing such rave reviews! Now, if only there were a Canadian Masterchef series, you'd so win it too :D . Happy cooking! -
Okay, just changed my mind after reading comments after the recipe...this is a MUST for Thanksgiving dinner this year so I will postpone my cravings and wait 2 weeks to try it out :) -
