Spotlight: A Family Affair
Hi, everyone!
We’d like to thank you for welcoming the community into your kitchens and sharing your makeover dreams. I have loved going through our Kitchen of Your Dreams gallery and getting tours of your kitchens. Some have made me laugh, some have made me tear up and all have made me realize what a tough decision this is going to be for our judges!
I wanted to spotlight some entries that involved the whole family! Jody submitted this touching video from the Cmoc family about a kitchen full of so many memories.
Priya brought her husband and her adorable son and daughter into her video to show us how tough it is to get around in the kitchen if you're not used to its quirks.
Shelly Stetsko turned her submission into a fairy tale, with a visit from her PHILLY Godmother, and had the whole family join in.
In this video by Kim Tulk's family, they show us the danger zone that is their kitchen. WARNING: Helmets needed.
Sandra Troche had her son and daughter tell us how a new kitchen would help them have more fun as a family.
In this cute peek into the lives of a family of 5 in a cramped kitchen, Lisa Martin has her husband and 3 kids act out "a day in the life."
And Mommy of 6 walked us through how life-chainging renovations would be for her whole family -- from husband to toddler to teenager.

These are great! I entered the contest at a spur of the moment at 10 at night AFTER I worked a busy shift at our local community theatre! Can you believe my daughter wanted to bake up some cheesecake pops right then and there so that everyone could see how much fun we have making them and how to make them?! My husband said the look on my face was of utter horror...LOL. I couldn't help it I was soooo tired:-)
Good luck to everyone! I've watched most of the videos, and I can see why Miss. Philly was teary for some and laughing with others! Each has their own personal mark to them! A very tough decision for the judges! -
It was really great to see how much fun these families clearly had putting these together. Right, Lisa and Priya? "Caring through cooking" -- I love that! Aw, Priya, I wish you could have gotten that quote from your daughter into your video! Agreed, A. Jean, the Spotlight is the perfect way to cap off the week! And as I said, Heather, it is going to be difficult for the judges, indeed. Thanks again, everyone! -
Had fun watching all the videos.So glad to see my video here too.To add to the troubles I already have in my kitchen, my microwave gave up last night.It is not warming anything at all.Me and my family are so much looking forward for this contest.My daughter just me, "Mummy, if we win, how will they fit new kitchen in our old kitchen?There is no room!" lol -
These videos are great. There were a few of these I had not seen so it was good to catch up. I can see it will be difficult for the judges to pick a winner, but someone will be really happy! -
