Happy Friday, everyone!
Are you excited about our Cheesecake of the Year contest kicking off on Monday? Any first-time cheesecake bakers out there? No need to fear, you’ve come to the right place! Our community is full of cheesecake tips and tricks!
How do you keep the top from cracking? How do you get the same consistency all the way through? These are all questions the Real Women of Philadelphia community can answer. Remember Anna’s tips showing how to line circular pans with parchment paper or how to soften cream cheese? And don’t forget about our Forum, the perfect place to post a cheesecake question!
Do you have advice for a first-time cheesecake baker? Share it below.
See you back here Monday when you can start entering your original cheesecake recipes and photos for your chance to win $5,000 and get your recipe in a national magazine! We’re also giving away KitchenAid® Stand Mixers in a random draw of entrants each week. That means the more recipes you enter each week, the better your chances are of winning. For complete contest rules, eligibility and judging criteria, please see our Official Rules.
We can’t wait to see the amazing cheesecakes -- big or small, baked or non-baked, fruity or chocolaty -- you come up with!

Im making 1/5 size batches of filling for testing purposes this weekend. the best part of a 1/5 size cheesecake is you can eat the whole thing and not feel guilty. even after you have eaten 5 or 6 of them :) -

I'd love to be Vaughan today! My cheesecakes don't usually turn out well and I'd love some tips from seasoned cheesecake bakers. I do have two creative takes ready to test and photograph for the contest though and I can't wait to see everyone's entries next week! -
Haha, poor Vaughan indeed :) I can't wait to see the entries that start coming in next week! What am I talking about: I can't wait to MAKE them! -
I had a lot of fun yesterday afternoon imagining my cheesecake. I'm off this afternoon to get my ingredients to begin round 1 - poor Vaughan is going to have to do all that tasting! I'm also really looking forward to seeing what everyone else comes up with... Happy creating everyone!
