Hi, everyone.
First, I would like to applaud this community for the amazing Kitchen of Your Dreams entries that I’ve been watching. I don’t know how we’re going to narrow it down to one winner! It will be difficult, that’s for sure. I’m so glad we, at least, have 4 KitchenAid® Stand Mixers to give to the runners-up.
In university I had some nasty, ill-equipped kitchens, but I do recall that each of them had an oven. As a student, baking was my big stress relief. Even in my first year at university, when everyone had the meal plan at the cafeteria (and the famous “freshman five” as a result), I chose a dorm that had kitchen facilities so I could cook instead of eating cafeteria food. These days, colleges have farmers’ markets and more nutritious meal plans! I was so excited when I moved into my first apartment after graduating university (before cooking school) that I had a dishwasher!
For today’s Monday Giveaway, I want to know:

I am most grateful for the additional "peninsula" counter in my kitchen. For many years, my husband and I lived in an 800 sq ft basement suite which had a large kitchen but absolutely NO counter space. It was impossible for both of us to work together in the kitchen - something I missed very much as we both LOVE to cook. Since then we have moved into a condo which is beautiful, although the kitchen and bathrooms have not been updated since 1976! Nonetheless, our condo kitchen has more counter space than our previous subterranean kitchen, and features a separate peninsula counter where I can do prep work as well as my absolute favourite -BAKING! Since we have moved "above grade", my husband and I enjoy lovely quality time working together in the kitchen. I feel as if I am now on a culinary honeymoon, all because of this kitchen "peninsula"! -

I am so thankful for my blender. It's my favorite kitchen appliance because it can do a lot of tasks. I can use it to make juice, delicious smoothies. I can also use it to grate coconuts to make my traditional rice and peas. I can also use it to blend fruit to make various cakes.
Thanks for the contest and good luck everyone :) -
I am most thankful for my dishwaher. I grew up in a large family with six kids (and two parents). We didn't have a dishwasher so you can imagine the length of time it took to do clean-up after meals. We would set up an assembly line where one kid would collect dishes from the table, another would scrape them in the garbage then pass them off to another who would wash them then pass them off to another who would rinse them, then to another who would dry and finally to the last child who would put them away. You can also imagine how many of my moms beautiful plates were broken!! I'm so grateful for my dishwasher. This is my first home that has one and I love it :) -
I am most thankful for my dishwasher. Even though it is nothing fancy, it sure is a time saver. I remember my university days of not having a dishwasher, and never want to go back to that, especially with 2 kids and a lot of dishes. -
Hi

i am thankful for my food processor, i use it to mix bread dough,
mix cookies, cut vegetables, pizza dough, crushed tomatoes for my pasta dishes. almost every dishes i make in my kitchen. my friends call me one in a billion because i always use the food processor to make pizza as soon as i have a surprise quest or shredd my carrot, cabbage, onion for my coleslaw.
not forgetting my puff dough pastry filled with blue berry and philly cream cheese baked in the oven and dust with icing sugar.
my food processor help to make bread for all my friends and family on Canada's day.

I'm most thankful for a husband who does dishes! (My "dishwasher"!)...and also my wall-mounted magnetic knife rack. Before I had that, I never knew where my sharp knives were going to be! -
I am most thankful for my oven. When my mom passed away 1.5 years ago from a 6 year battle with cancer, baking became my outlet. I love baking anything from apple crisps, to cookies to banana bread and even on some days new recipes if I feel up for the challenge. It reminds me of time spent with my mother, as we'd bake together and how the smell and taste of something freshly baked can bring family and friends together and remember the happier times. It has helped me through the most difficult aspect of my life thus far (being only 25) and it would be hard to go without it. -
I am thankful for my dishwasher! I look after children so keeping up with dishes from my family + 5 other small children daily was not working so well. Last Christmas my dishwasher broke and I thought I could do without for a while until we had the money to replace it - no such luck! We were out shopping for a new one the next day. -
I'm most thankful for my dishwasher. Twenty years ago I didn't think we needed one, but my husband talked me into it. We now do two loads on a normal day -- I can't imagine doing that by hand anymore! -

ah, I am thankful for my collection of various sizes of stock pots and smaller sizes of pot for ease of making Chinese soups and cooking oatmeal at breakfast time in the morning. Usually, my mom helps me wash them before I helped her wash dishes, but that's another kitchen tales to tell! -
I am so thankful for my food processor. If it were not for that invention my pepper jelly's I make all year round for friends and family would take me hours longer to make. Even though it's old, and heavy, it works and that's all that matters. It is truly a blessing and I am thankful. -
I am thankful for my rice maker, no matter how careful I watch it rice always seems to get wreaked on my stove who knows if its me or the stove but now that I have a rice maker it always turns out great. -
I do have a few to be thankful for but since I can only choose one I will go with my Cuisinart Automatic Grind and Brew coffee maker It was a Christmas present from my husband 5 years ago this coming Christmas. My oldest daughter was born 5 days before Christmas and with a newborn there was many sleepless nights. With my coffee maker I could set it to either grind coffee beans and brew at a certain time or just brew coffee grounds. I have since had another baby and this coffee maker still help me with a boost of energy after a sleepless night. Plus it is always awesome for a machine to do the work for you so all you have to do is pour a cup without wasting that moment of peace on making it yourself. -
I am most thankful for my extra large, beautiful coffee pot, with timer! And so is my family! ha. Goodness, without that cup in the morning, the rest of the appliances would sit and rust in place, no matter how much I may love them!! -

I am thankful for my microwave. No matter what I do to teach my daughter to cook it always fails. She is a disaster in the kitchen. Thankfully the microwave allows her to warm up or cook simple meals when I'm not there. It prevents her from starving or worse, destroying the kitchen. -
Im thankful for all the love that is in my kitchen no gadget can do that and its what makes food taste great !! -
I'm thankful for my new K-Cup style coffee maker. I love it! What is best about it is my daughter bought it for me (and I would have never bought it for myself as it is a luxury to me. So every time I have a cup of coffee I very spoiled and I think of her. -
i use my oven and stove the most, and love them! i can make most of our meals using just that, and in second place for sure is our fridge, it keeps our philly fresh until i am ready to use it :)
