Are you counting down to the Thanksgiving holiday like I am? In preparing for our feast this year, I found some great recipes from Cooking with Philly that you might like to try.
If you were thinking of perhaps steering clear of roasting a turkey or ham, try this amazing casserole that is a whole Thanksgiving feast all in one!
And if you have a hankering for the perfect sweet potatoes, well, look no further!
Roasted Sweet Potato and Carrot Puree
And for a wonderful dessert, we would obviously recommend our Cheesecake of the Year! For another fun option of an updated (and Philly-filled!) apple pie, try this out:

Thanks so much for your recipe on cooking with leftover candy....you wouldn't believe how many bags we have here lying around filled with candy! (or maybe the readers would if there anything like our household) :) Can't wait to try out your suggestions. Thanks! -
Bavarian Cheesecake reminds me of German Apfelkuchen very nice.
Loved it when I lived in Bavaria for 2 1/2 years ;) -
Philly is always part of Thanksgiving. This year will be more creative.... maybe this recipe for Roasted Sweet Potato and Carrot Puree. -
The Fall Apple Bavarian Cheesecake brings back memories of a neighbour we had to immigrated from Germany. -

The Creamy Stuffing-Topped Turkey sounds like a wonderful, tasty way to use leftovers after the holiday. -
We are having Thanksgiving at my brother-in-laws this year. My goal is to make a homemade pumpkin pie with a brown rice crust. I hope it turns out well. -
Great catch, dragonmouse! The temperature should be 350°. I hope everyone enjoys some of the above tasty treats! I always add Chive and Onion Philly to my mashed potatoes, but this year maybe I'll try the Roasted Garlic? -
I have to say that the cheesecake lookes delicious but when I check the recipe there is no temperature listed for the baking. -
we all love stuffing LOL, and toss mashed potatoes and gravy on top of that, yum, and I like the dark meat, so I get lots, as most of my family likes the white meat
