Good morning, everyone!
It’s summertime, and with the kids home from school, I’ll just bet some of them are joining you in the kitchen! My sister was just visiting with her 7-year-old son, and we whipped up these three meals one day:
For breakfast, we started with this fruity, cream cheese wonder:
Berry Good Waffle
(Click on name or photo above to see recipe!)
Then for lunch, we made these yummy sandwiches. I handled chopping the basil and tomatoes, and he doled out the cheeses:
Bruschetta and Ham Sandwich
(Click on name or photo above to see recipe!)
When we were ready to tuck in for dinner, we worked as a team to cook up these tasty pot pies:
Chicken Pot Pies
(Click on name or photo above to see recipe!)
I hope you enjoy making these with your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews and little brothers and sisters! Do you have any fun meals you like to make with your young ones? Share with us below!

I have having my children in the kitchen. My older ones are getting quite competent on their own so they can accomplish more, but we seem to have less fun than I do when cooking with the little ones....hmmmm. Tonight the girls and I are putting on a semi-formal dinner for the boys and my husband. We're really looking forward to all the fun in the kitchen, I'll be sure to take photos :) -

irolori, the herb and garlic cream cheese would be excellent in chicken pot pie. I use it in a recipe I came up with for chicken stew with biscuit topping and it is amazing.
No more kids at home for me, but when my son came home last weekend with his girlfriend I made an amazing Cobb Salad with Cooking Creme dressing. -
Oooh, they all look good! I think I'm going to make the Berry Good Waffles. Waffles and pancakes are a big part of our breakfast routine here on the weekends. Love it! I know my husband will also be more then happy to help eat them too :) -
My daughter would love the chicken pot pi. I think I'll use the garlic herb crream cheese. That will give it a real boost! -

A favourite meal for my 2 daughters is our Pasta in Philly Cream Sauce. 1 Teaspoon of butter, 1 tub of Philly and an equal amount of milk melted together in a saucepan and poured over cooked cheese-filled tortellini.
When my girls were 12+13 I taught them how to make it (with some help) and they have been making it ever since. Now at 16+18 they make it all the time adding cooked onions, leftover chicken, different spices and grated cheese and they change up the pasta depending on what they feel like or whats in the pantry.
The "Fun Part", they now make it for me :) -
